subject RE: FOIA request ~ Work Service's Review
Dear Mr Des Curly,
I write to acknowledge your e mail and apologise for the delay that has occurred since the Board meeting ( September 28th 2006 )and you receiving my response. I thought that I was able to provide you with I thought was routine information relating to Work Services (that is the specific services that were subject to the review rather then the whole of the Trust). As this is not the case and you are seeking something other then this I have forwarded your request for information to our Information Governance Manager who will assist with our response.
I will be on annual leave next week so will follow this up with her on my return.
Yours sincerely
Jo
So, almost two months after I submitted my FOIA request to the Surrey & Borders Trust and it was read out by Chief Executive Fiona Edwards to the Trust Board it has finally been passed on to SABP's Information Governance Manager.

The Usual semantic games by a Trust officer it appears - they will certainly play in any province of textual or other ambiguity that they can, in order to stoke frustration up , outrage and conflict - its a default model of trying to wrong foot the understanding of where one is trying to go ..
I suppose an invoice on them is the way if you can make it stick ...
Good luck
These managers just haven't got the substance to tell the truth...any other than the truth the system demands of them..which is mostly lies.
That is why any kind of involvement is dangerous. It is essential and valid but it takes its toll on individuals who do not have the might of all these bureaucraties behind them (where the suited wonders hide and lose themselves).
Hence the system will out, because most people aren't hardy or brave enough to challenge injustices.
Plus there are so many bad things being done to service users..everywhere.
Easy to loose heart but better to challenge..to try.
How these managers sleep at night is beyond me.

The Agenda and documents for the Surrey & Borders public Board Meeting in Dorking on 30 November is now line, including the Minutes from the last Board Meeting the and Minutes from the last S&B on 28 September with the questions from Des Curley and responses from Fiona Edwards.
Written questions for the next Board Meeting have to be submitted by 27 November.
Rosemary in Surrey
Yes, I note that the minute taker has used some artistic licence to edit the Chief Executives responses and that one of Trust Board Member Roshan Bailey's has been left out to give Foxtrot Fiona a retrospective fragrance of Rose ... the thorny Old Moat variety of course ...grown in pure dung for the sole benefit of the already haves ....
